Volleyball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Comes Up Short

Lighthouse Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Murtaugh Red Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Holland Haringsma paced Lighthouse Christian's offense, picking up four kills. Haringsma got some help from Kinsie McCoy and her ten assists. Finally, Courtney Gentert kept Lighthouse Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Lighthouse Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Murtaugh, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Lighthouse Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Oakley on the 16th. As for Murtaugh, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Filer on the 13th.
