Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 58-26 win over Friendship Christian at home. That looming 58-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill yet this season.
It was another big night for Ashlyn Lange, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 21 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's points.
Meanwhile, Neuse Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 36-17 fall against Trinity Academy. The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lyla Lindstrom, who scored nine points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lila Sarant, who scored two points along with six steals.
Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-11. As for Neuse Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill beat the Lions 35-24 in their previous meeting back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Neuse Christian Academy's Morgan Little, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill still be able to contain Little? There's only one way to find out.
