Volleyball Game Preview: Heritage Hills Patriots vs. Mt. Vernon Wildcats

The Heritage Hills Patriots will take on the Mt. Vernon Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Heritage Hills is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Evansville Mater Dei just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Wildcats.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Mt. Vernon came up short against Evansville North on Thursday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost six in a row.

Mt. Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Heritage Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.

Everything went Heritage Hills' way against Mt. Vernon in their previous matchup back in September, as Heritage Hills made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
