Softball Recap: Buffalo Grove Falls Short of Mundelein in the Playoffs

Buffalo Grove and Mundelein squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Buffalo Grove had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 6-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Buffalo Grove's loss dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Mundelein, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season.

Buffalo Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mundelein, they will take on Stevenson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their 21st straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
