Soccer Recap: Needville Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Needville was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They fell just short of the Stafford Spartans by a score of 2-1. The Bluejays were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Needville's goal came courtesy of Maylee Smith, who's now up to 12 this season.

Needville's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Stafford, the win got them back to even at 7-7-1.

Needville didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Brazosport on the 6th. As for Stafford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 5-1 defeat against Columbia on the 6th.
