Basketball Recap: Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Comes Up Short

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley suffered their biggest loss since January 2nd on Friday. They took a blow against the Cross County Cougars, falling 61-34. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Leading Cross County to victory were Lindee Kelley and Eden Peterson. Kelley went 6 for 11 en route to 12 points along with seven boards and six assists, while Peterson went 7 of 13 on her way to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Clark, who posted ten points and four steals.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Cross County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley has already played their next matchup (against Osceola), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cross County will challenge Nebraska Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cross County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season.
