Softball Recap: Atwater Takes a Loss

Atwater dropped their record down to 21-7 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Orestimba Warriors, falling 14-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Falcons, who until this match were averaging 3.82 runs allowed.

Atwater saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaydence Armando, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

As for Orestimba, they pushed their record up to 14-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

On Orestimba's side, the team relied heavily on Salece Machado, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Machado a new career-high. Natalie Corella was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

As of now, neither Atwater nor Orestimba have any future games scheduled.
