Baseball Recap: Taylorsville's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

Taylorsville and West Union squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Taylorsville had to settle for second. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 on Tuesday.

Taylorsville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trey Barnes, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Taylorsville's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-13. As for West Union, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 23-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Taylorsville nor West Union have any future games scheduled.
