Baseball Recap: Western Reserve Blue Devils vs. Lowellville Rockets

Western Reserve had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 runs), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Lowellville Rockets as they made off with a 13-3 win. This was a revenge matchup for Western Reserve, as the team was forced to settle for a 7-2 defeat when these two played last Monday.

Brock Wellman was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Wellman was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Western Reserve will take on Badger at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
