Volleyball Recap: Wilmington Christian Academy Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Wilmington Christian Academy had already won seven in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Ross County Christian Academy Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Wilmington Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-14, 26-24, 25-17.

Ross County Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Hayburn, who had six digs and three aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Bevin, who had 13 digs and two blocks.

Wilmington Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Ross County Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Wilmington Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Hillsboro Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Ross County Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Fayette Christian on the 18th.
