Basketball Game Preview: Paradise Honors Panthers vs. Pinnacle Pioneers

The Paradise Honors Panthers will face off against the Pinnacle Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pinnacle took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Paradise Honors, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Paradise Honors took their game with ease, bagging a 95-21 win over Yuma. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Paradise Honors found their leader in sophomore Lizzy Guincho, who went 14-for-23 on her way to 30 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Guincho is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season. Jaelyn Perez was another key player, shooting 83% from the field en route to 12 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Paradise Honors was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Pinnacle took a blow against Millennium on Tuesday, falling 62-27. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Paradise Honors has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Pinnacle, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
