Chino Valley's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Kingman Bulldogs, sneaking past 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

Kinsey Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than 12 strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rebecca Sanders was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maleah Garcia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
