Volleyball Recap: Community Christian Starts Season with Victory Against Northeast Academy

Community Christian took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Northeast Academy Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Community Christian was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-14, 25-11.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Community Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Isabella Ford, who had 13 digs. Ellie Gay was another key player, getting nine digs and four aces.

Community Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Community Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Wayne Country Day on the 18th. As for Northeast Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Hertford County on the 16th.
