Baseball Recap: Lexington's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Lexington was the 6-5 winner over Gardner-South Wilmington when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Minutemen fell 6-3 to the Panthers on Monday.

Braeden Barber made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Lexington's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, their record is now 7-11.

Looking ahead, Lexington will head out on the road to face off against Fieldcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Anne at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
