Basketball Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Cheltenham's Winning Streak

After flying high against Springfield Township last Tuesday, Cheltenham came back down to earth. The Cheltenham Panthers fell to the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials 60-54. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Colonials from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plymouth Whitemarsh to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Hayes, who posted ten points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Pererira, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 12 points.

The defeat snapped Cheltenham's winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 6-3 record. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, their record now sits at 10-4.

Cheltenham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-51 victory against Central Bucks East on the 14th. Plymouth Whitemarsh has also already played their next matchup, a 69-63 win against Neshaminy on the 14th.
