Basketball Recap: Syracuse Academy of Science Takes a Loss

Syracuse Academy of Science lost against Bishop Ludden back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Syracuse Academy of Science Atoms took a blow against the Bishop Ludden Gaelic Knights, falling 82-23. While losing is never fun, the Atoms can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 545th, while the Gaelic Knights are ranked 96th).

Syracuse Academy of Science has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Bishop Ludden, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Syracuse Academy of Science will host Jamesville-DeWitt at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bishop Ludden, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Fayetteville-Manlius at 6:30 p.m.
