They were dealt  a  41-10 defeat at the hands of the Pinellas Park Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Gladiators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings  (they are ranked 400th, while the Patriots are ranked 125th).
  Zahmir Mcneil continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pinellas Park, rushing for 148 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. That high mark didn't come from nowhere:  Mcneil now  rushed for 146 or more in the last three games he's  played dating back to last season.  Kaiden Nobles was another key player, gaining 32 total yards and two touchdowns.
 Gibbs' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pinellas Park, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
 Gibbs will take on Boca Ciega at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Boca Ciega's defense has only allowed 18  points per game  this season, so Gibbs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Pinellas Park, they will venture away from home to  challenge Manatee  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams will come into the  matchup having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
