Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Littleton). They blew past the North Middlesex Regional Patriots 17-2 on Friday. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Alyson Laing was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Laing was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Annabelle Caouette was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Breese Jeanson, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Littleton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
