Softball Recap: Monte Vista Comes Up Short

Monte Vista lost against El Cajon Valley back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Monarchs came up short against the Braves, falling 20-9. The defeat leaves the Monarchs still looking for their first win of the season.

Monte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for El Cajon Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Monte Vista and El Cajon Valley will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Monarchs see the field they'll take on Kearny at 4:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for El Cajon Valley, their break will end when they face Ramona at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th.
