Volleyball Recap: Hampshire Beats Crystal Lake Central for Their Third Straight Victory + How To Watch

Hampshire hadn't beaten Crystal Lake Central on the road since September 2, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Whip-Purs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 2-1. For the Whip-Purs, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Hampshire had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-23, 25-14.

Elizabeth King paced Hampshire's offense, picking up 17 kills. King got some help from Kylie Lambert and her 15 assists. King was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

The win (which was Hampshire's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. As for Crystal Lake Central, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
