Recap: Crockett County Cavaliers vs. Haywood Tomcats
The Crockett County Cavaliers lost against the Haywood Tomcats back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Crockett County fell to Haywood 28-23. Crockett County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Haywood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Camarion Miller, who rushed for 238 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 43 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Miller was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. Kemonte Williams was in the mix as well, providing Haywood with two touchdowns.
Crockett County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Haywood, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Crockett County will head out on the road to face off against Fayette Ware at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fayette Ware is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Haywood, they will be playing at home against Dyer County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
