Football Recap: Central Florida Christian Academy's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Seven + How To Watch

Central Florida Christian Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 32-24 victory over the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 49-19 win the Ducks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Central Florida Christian Academy was led to victory by Jahmari Hammonds and Gavin Pritzkau. Hammonds rushed for 215 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, while Pritzkau threw for 285 yards and a pair of TDs. Hammonds' longest rush was for an incredible 93 yards. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Davy Murphy, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central Florida Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Central Florida Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Nyshaun Drye, Da'Vion Monroe, and Hammonds picked up one apiece. Hammonds is also crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 140 every time he's taken the field this season.

Several Ducks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Israel Cumbal, who rushed for 60 yards and one score. Cumbal also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making nine total tackles and defending one pass.

Central Florida Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Florida Christian Academy will face off against Boca Raton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Blazers have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, they will square off against Christ's Church Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
