Basketball Recap: Payne Tech Takes a Loss

Payne Tech lost against Caldwell back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Payne Tech Lions were dealt a 72-44 loss at the hands of the Caldwell Chiefs.

Payne Tech dropped their record down to 6-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Caldwell, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Payne Tech will head out on the road to face off against Nutley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Caldwell, they will challenge Newark Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Caldwell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Newark Central likes a good challenge.
