Basketball Recap: Kingston Comes Up Short

Kingston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-36 last Monday.

Kingston's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Monroe-Woodbury, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kingston will square off against Poughkeepsie at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Monroe-Woodbury, they will challenge Pine Bush at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe-Woodbury is on a four-game streak of home wins, Pine Bush a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
