Baseball Recap: Clinton Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hernando

Clinton extended their postseason success on Saturday against Hernando. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Tigers. The Arrows might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Brody Zumbro looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Stone Crain was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Dodson, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

Clinton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. As for Hernando, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10-1.

As of now, neither Clinton nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
