Baseball Recap: Spearfish Spartans vs. Washington Warriors

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Huron, Spearfish was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Washington Warriors by a score of 9-5. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Sean Sewell made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
