Softball Recap: Pine Prairie Extends Home Winning Streak to 15

On Friday, the Pine Prairie Panthers earned a 7-3 win over the Alexandria Trojans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Kynnedi Ware made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned runs in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Pine Prairie let Josie Vidrine and Macy (M.J.) Chauvin run wild. Vidrine went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI, while Chauvin scored three runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs Chauvin has posted since back in March of 2024. Ella Ortego also deserves some recognition as she stolen her first stolen base of the season.

Pine Prairie pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Pine Prairie will venture away from home to challenge Natchitoches Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Alexandria, they will face off against Iowa at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
