Baseball Recap: Deering Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Deering's offense. They fell just short of the Bonny Eagle Scots by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Deering has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Bonny Eagle, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Deering will face off against rival Falmouth at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bonny Eagle is set to square off against their familiar foe Noble at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Scots 3.9, the Knights 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
