The Junipero Serra Padres will challenge the Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory Fightin' Irish at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Junipero Serra's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Tuesday, Junipero Serra earned a 7-4 victory over Archbishop Mitty. The Padres haven't had any issues with the Monarchs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Nate Hui made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other pitching news, Aiden Waters looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Ian Josephson, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Aaron Minton, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory hadn't done well against Saint Francis recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Fightin' Irish walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Lancers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fightin' Irish.
Tedford Lewis was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Rohan Kahns was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Junipero Serra's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Junipero Serra's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Padres have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Junipero Serra continue to outrun the ball?
