Basketball Recap: San Juan Comes Up Short

San Juan fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against North Sevier on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the North Sevier Wolves 64-59. The Broncos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 68-58.

Despite the loss, San Juan still got an impressive performance from Tripp Palmer, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Palmer has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last three times he's played. Jagger Nieves was another key player, putting up ten points.

San Juan is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11. As for North Sevier, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season.

San Juan has already played their next game (against Duchesne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Sevier is taking a road trip to face off against Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Milford will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something North Sevier surely won't give up without a fight.
