Basketball Recap: Wings Academy Drops Season-High Score on Archbishop Molloy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wings Academy). In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with an 84-83 win over the Archbishop Molloy Stanners.

Rushawn Greene continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 40 points and ten assists. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmanuel Nieves, who posted eight points in addition to eight assists and eight boards.

Wings Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Archbishop Molloy, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Wings Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Eagle Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Archbishop Molloy, they will face off against Xaverian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Archbishop Molloy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Xaverian likes a good challenge.
