Softball Recap: White River Valley Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Linton-Stockton, White River Valley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Eminence Eels. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 14-4 victory the Eels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Zyleigh Abrams-Condol was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Abrams-Condol wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alea Beck, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another was Miah Duncan, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

The win got White River Valley back to even at 6-6. As for Eminence, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

White River Valley has already played their next game, a 9-1 victory against Eastern Greene on the 6th. As for Eminence, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-2 loss against North Montgomery on the 2nd.
