Recap: Life Christian Academy Lions vs. Osceola Kowboys

The Life Christian Academy Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Osceola on the road and fell 74-30. While losing is never fun, Life Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 718th, while Osceola is ranked 202nd).

When it comes to explaining why Life Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dan Morales. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. Morales scored a full 56.7% of Life Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Angel Romeu was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Life Christian Academy bumped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Osceola, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Life Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Oaks Academy at 4:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. One thing working in West Oaks Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups. Osceola won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Artesia at 1:30 p.m. on December 21st.
