Soccer Game Preview: Belen Jesuit vs. Miami Beach

The Belen Jesuit Wolverines will head out on the road to challenge the Miami Beach Hi-Tides at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Belen Jesuit earned a 3-1 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas. Andres Lopez-Gottardi had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Belen Jesuit got from the refs.

Simon Parra and Lopez-Gottardi scored all three of Belen Jesuit's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Miami Beach took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Southwest a 1-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
