Basketball Recap: Garfield-Palouse Comes Up Short

If Garfield-Palouse was riding high fresh off their 55-22 takedown of Colton last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Garfield-Palouse Vikings were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 53-52 to the Asotin Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Garfield-Palouse's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3. As for Asotin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

Garfield-Palouse will face off against Waitsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Asotin, they will venture away from home to square off against Colfax at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Colfax is on a four-game streak of home wins, Asotin a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
