Baseball Game Preview: Woodland Beavers vs. Washougal Panthers

Woodland hasn't had much luck against Washougal recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Beavers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m.

Woodland is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Wednesday. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Columbia River.

Meanwhile, Washougal hadn't done well against Mark Morris recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Monarchs, sneaking past 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since April 3rd.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Washougal, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-11.

Woodland couldn't quite get it done against Washougal in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Can the Beavers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
