Soccer Recap: Glenbard East Takes a Loss

After flying high against Fenton on Saturday, Glenbard East came back down to earth. The Rams fell just short of the West Aurora Blackhawks by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Glenbard East couldn't quite close it out.

Glenbard East's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9-3. As for West Aurora, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season.

Glenbard East and West Aurora could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Rams will take on St. Charles North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (147 vs. 45). Meanwhile, West Aurora (ranked 69th) will meet Lockport (ranked 18th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
