Baseball Recap: Bishop Kearney Comes Up Short

The Bishop Kearney Kings came up short against the Le Roy Oatkan Knights on Tuesday, falling 15-6. The Kings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop Kearney saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Banks, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another was Garrett Rupp, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Bishop Kearney now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Le Roy, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bishop Kearney will challenge Aquinas Institute at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Little Irish have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.11 runs per game on average), something the Kings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Le Roy, they will face off against Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
