Atkins and Northeast Guilford are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Camels will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Atkins is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Atkins had taken Northeast Guilford down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Camels took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.

For Northeast Guilford's part, Aiden Gray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Noah Clark was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Jones, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.

Clark wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Northeast Guilford lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Northeast Guilford now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Atkins, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
