Soccer Preview: Frisco vs. Liberty
For the first time this season, Frisco will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing at home against the Liberty Redhawks at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Frisco's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Frisco is headed into the matchup having not lost since the 2nd and will look to keep things rolling. They and Newman Smith finished up their match with a 3-3 draw on Tuesday. That draw made it three straight for Frisco.
Meanwhile, Liberty faced McKinney North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Redhawks played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against the Bulldogs. Liberty's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
With that draw, Liberty's record moves to 8-0-2. As for Frisco, they moved theirs to 4-2-4.
