Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Eureka

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Eureka walked away with it. They came out on top against the Fortune Early College Panthers by a score of 75-67 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Loggers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eureka to victory, but perhaps none more so than Xavier De La Rosa Alcantara, who posted 20 points. De La Rosa Alcantara has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 18 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Mitchell, who scored 17 points.

Eureka's win bumped their record up to 19-12. As for Fortune Early College, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 21-8.

Eureka has already played their next game, a 59-52 loss against Weed on the 5th. Fortune Early College does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
