Soccer Recap: Edison Sets Scoring Season-High Against Chavez

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edison). Their defense stepped up to hand the Chavez Titans a 3-0 shutout on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Vikings also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Lucero Zuniga-Lopez and Maryori Leiva scored all three of Edison's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Edison's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5-1. As for Chavez, they now have a losing record at 0-1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison will venture away from home to square off against Tokay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tokay's last four games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Chavez, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will face off against Bear Creek at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
