Basketball Game Preview: Lely Trojans vs. Naples Golden Eagles

Lely hasn't had much luck against Naples recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lely Trojans will host the Naples Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Lely came up short against Gulf Coast and fell 48-37. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lely's defeat came about despite a quality game from Fara Louissaint, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigael Francois, who scored seven points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Naples, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They breezed by Immokalee to the tune of 71-14 on Tuesday. That 57 point margin sets a new team best for the Golden Eagles this season.

Lely now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Naples, they moved to 4-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Lely skirted past Naples 45-42 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Will Lely repeat their success, or does Naples have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
