After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Burlington, Waterford was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Whitnall Falcons by a score of 3-1. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.
Waterford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 26-24, 25-19, 25-22.
Evie Hoffman paced Waterford's offense, picking up nine kills. Hoffman got some help from Maddy Monte and her 23 assists. Monte was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
