Recap: Springs Valley Blackhawks vs. Eastern Musketeers

The Springs Valley Blackhawks pushed their score all the way to 60 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 76-60 to Eastern. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (59), Springs Valley still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Springs Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Deion Edwards. Despite the final result, he scored 40 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 66.7% of Springs Valley's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jaheim Hamilton was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 12 rebounds and two blocks.

Springs Valley's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for Eastern, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springs Valley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tell City at 8:00 p.m. on January 27th. Tell City has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for Eastern, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Salem at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. Salem is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
