While Mt. Carmel put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Classical Academy. Mt. Carmel narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Classical Academy 2-0. For the Sundevils, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 victory the Caimans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Classical Academy's batters probably weren't too happy with Isaac Reese, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (he gave up two walks). The dominant performance also gave Reese a new career-low in hits (zero).

On the hitting side, Mt. Carmel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Mendoza, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. As for Classical Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Grossmont at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Classical Academy will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Grossmont will have lost four straight heading into Saturday's matchup.
