Volleyball Recap: Naperville Central Comes Up Short

Naperville Central was the 2-0 winner over Geneva when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Redhawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Monday.

Naperville Central was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23.

Geneva was led to victory by Lexi Meives and Maddie Parsons. Meives had 13 digs and two assists, while Parsons had seven digs. That's the most digs Parsons has posted since back in August.

Naperville Central dropped their record down to 10-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Geneva, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Naperville Central will head out to take on Waubonsie Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Geneva, they will venture away from home to square off against Glenbard North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
