Basketball Recap: Springfield Renaissance Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lee

Springfield Renaissance extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Lee. They walked away with a 54-41 victory over the Lee Wildcats. Springfield Renaissance's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Springfield Renaissance found their leader in sophomore Zi'Yan Wallace, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wallace has scored at least a third of Springfield Renaissance's points. Sy'Nye Baker was another key player, putting up nine points and six steals.

Springfield Renaissance's victory bumped their record up to 26-0. As for Lee, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-5 record.

Coming up, Springfield Renaissance is taking a road trip to take on Hoosac Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. Hoosac Valley is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Springfield Renaissance a ten-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Lee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
