Football Recap: Newberry Comes Up Short

Newberry lost against Buchholz back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers were outmatched by the Bobcats and fell 34-6. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Bobcats are ranked 57th).

Newberry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Buchholz, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Coming up, Newberry will square off against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Buchholz does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
