Volleyball Recap: Katelyn Kahler and Elizabeth Jerrick Secure Win for Unity

Unity posted their closest win since September 13th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Glenwood City Hilltoppers. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Hilltoppers: they've now won three in a row.

Unity was led to victory by Elizabeth Jerrick and Katelyn Kahler. Jerrick had ten digs and four aces, while Kahler had nine digs and one assist. Jerrick is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 16 games she's played. Sianah Morales also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Unity was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glenwood City only served two.

Unity's victory bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Glenwood City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-21.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Unity will take on Ladysmith at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glenwood City, they will challenge Durand-Arkansaw at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
